When do Hinge Likes reset? What Hinge actually says
Hinge's help pages give no reset time or number for free Likes; the 4 AM and eight-a-day figures come from guides. Here is what Hinge does state.
None of the four Hinge help articles this desk read says when free Likes reset. Hinge’s benefits page says free users can send “only a select number of likes per day”, with no number and no clock time, while Hinge+ and HingeX subscribers get unlimited Likes. The widely repeated 4:00 AM reset and eight-a-day figure come from third-party guides.
This is an explainer, and the answer to when do Hinge Likes reset is less tidy than the pages ranking for it suggest. On 18 October 2026 this desk read Hinge’s help articles on Likes, Subscription and Purchase Benefits, Your Turn Limits and Standouts. Hinge’s help centre answered this desk’s direct requests with a 403, so all four were read through a scraping fallback. The table below sorts every allowance into what Hinge states and what only the guides assert.
Every Hinge allowance and when it refills
| Allowance | Refill or duration | Who says so |
|---|---|---|
| Free daily Likes | “A select number” per day; no number, no time | Hinge, benefits page (updated 15 Oct 2026) |
| 4:00 AM local reset | Daily, at 4:00 AM in your time zone | CupidAI, Based Dating, wikiHow; no Hinge page read |
| Eight free Likes a day | 8; CupidAI adds no rollover | Same guides; no Hinge page read |
| Subscriber Likes | Unlimited, Hinge+ and HingeX | Hinge, Likes page (updated 24 Aug 2026) |
| Free Undo Skip | 1 per week, resets every 7 days | Hinge, Likes page |
| Free Rose | 1 per week; does not accumulate | Hinge, benefits page |
| Standouts | New batch daily; Next Refresh timer, no clock time | Hinge, Standouts page (updated 9 Oct 2026) |
| Priority Like (HingeX) | Top of Likes You for 7 days, then a regular Like | Hinge, benefits page |
| Boost / Superboost | One hour / twenty-four hours | Hinge, benefits page |
| Your Turn Limits | No timer; lifts when you reply or end chats | Hinge, Your Turn Limits page (updated 23 Dec 2025) |
When do Hinge Likes reset, according to Hinge?
Hinge does not give a time in anything read here. The benefits page frames the free allowance as per day and stops there. Two resets Hinge does put a fixed period on are weekly: the Likes article says free users can undo one skip per week, “resetting every 7 days”, and that the same allotment covers Likes You, Discover and Standouts. The benefits page adds one free Rose a week, which does not carry over if unused; extra Roses are sold in batches of 3, 12 or 50. The same Likes article says free users view incoming Likes one at a time, so the received side is rationed too, by view rather than by clock.
Where the 4 AM and eight-likes figures come from
From the guides, not from Hinge. CupidAI’s guide, marked updated April 2026, says the reset happens “at exactly 4:00 AM local time” and credits “Hinge Help Center” without a link. Based Dating and wikiHow give the same time and number with no Hinge page cited in the text read. That does not make them wrong; it means the figure is unconfirmed by Hinge’s own pages. CupidAI also says skipped Discover profiles never return without paying, which Hinge’s free weekly Undo Skip contradicts.
Does Hinge+ have unlimited Likes?
Yes, on Hinge’s own wording, and the same goes for HingeX. The benefits page lists “the ability to send an unlimited number of likes” for both tiers, alongside unlimited Undo Skips, seeing all incoming Likes at once rather than one at a time, and two extra sorts, Last Active and Nearby. HingeX adds Priority Likes and an always-on visibility lift that, in Hinge’s words, “kicks in and expires whenever your subscription does”. So for a subscriber there is no daily reset to wait for. The benefits page read lists no prices, and this post states none.
Unlimited has one exception, and Hinge spells it out.
Why you can be blocked from Liking at any hour
The clock is not the only limit. Hinge’s Your Turn Limits article says that when too many people are waiting for your reply, you cannot send or receive new Likes until you answer or end a conversation. It applies to subscribers too, gives no threshold, and shows a progress bar as you approach it. Hinge says it tested the feature and found it increased responses. As with Hinge’s missing read receipts, the design pushes whoever owes the reply.
Hinge Likes FAQ
Do Hinge Likes reset at midnight?
Not according to any page read here. None of the four Hinge help articles this desk read on 18 October 2026 gives a reset time at all, midnight or otherwise. Third-party guides including CupidAI, Based Dating and wikiHow say the free allowance refills at 4:00 AM local time, but none of them, as read, links a Hinge page that states it.
How many Likes do you get on Hinge?
Hinge+ and HingeX subscribers can send unlimited Likes, Hinge’s help centre says. For free users, its benefits page says only “a select number of likes per day” and gives no figure. The number eight, sometimes with a no-rollover rule, comes from third-party guides. Separately, Your Turn Limits can stop anyone, subscriber or not, from sending Likes while too many matches are waiting on a reply.
When do Hinge Likes expire?
The Hinge pages read do not give an expiry for a received Like. The one time limit they state is on HingeX Priority Likes, which stay at the top of the recipient’s Likes You page for 7 days and are then treated as a regular Like. Standouts run on their own Next Refresh timer, after which the page shows new profiles.
The short version
Free Likes refill daily by Hinge’s own wording, at a time and in a quantity Hinge’s pages read here do not state; Undo Skip and the free Rose refill weekly; and an inbox of unanswered matches can freeze Likes whatever the hour. For how those Likes feed who you see, read how Hinge works, and before meeting anyone, what Hinge selfie verification does and does not tell you. Hinge, like every app on this site, is for adults 18 and over.
